Likes: Music, nature, storytelling, helping others, a good audience.
Dislikes: Fighting women, fighting in general, monsters, people who don't appreciate music, any technology more advanced than medieval times (since that's where he's from...)
Favourite style of music: Folk songs and ballads
Home Stage Theme: "Deep Forest Reel" by Alisa Jones

Skills: Music, music and more music! Gabriel is a master bard, and it shows: he can play pretty much any instrument (even ones he's never seen before, given a few minutes) and pick up on songs insanely fast. He also has strong survival skills, and can manage to get by in all but the most extreme climates. (Years of travelling will do that for you).

Weapons: A simple hunting knife that hangs from his belt. It's nothing fancy, but is practical and multifunctional. Gabriel actually uses it more for preparing food and camp fires than anything else, but don't let that fool you. He knows how to fight with it.

As a last resort, he can always hit people with his instrument... but ONLY as a VERY last resort. He values that thing more than his own life at times...

About the Mohan Veena: (Taken from [link] )
The Mohan Veena is a highly modified concord archtop, which is played lap-style. It has 20 strings: three melody strings and five three drone strings coming out of the peg heads, and 12 sympathetic strong to tuners mounted to a piece of wood added to the side of the neck. The melody strings are on what we would consider the treble side of the neck, and the drone strings are on the bass side. The drone strings are lower in height than the melody strings to allow for unrestricted playing of the melody strings. The sympathetic strings run underneath the melody and drone strings to yet another level in the bridge. The instrument has a carved spruced top, mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck, and a flat, fretless, rosewood fingerboard.

The Mohan Veena is under tremendous tension; the total strings pull to be in excess of 500 pounds. It is due to this high tension the tone tuns incredible with the sympathetic ringing out and strengthening each note played. This is a loud instrument made to cut through with low amplification.

Motives: A bard's duty is to the knight or adventurer that hires him. When employed, they are obliged to follow a hero as they travel the world, performing basic duties such as setting up camp, carrying supplies, and occasionally being there to sober up the hero after a night of drinking.

But that's only the grunt work... Gabriel's main obligation as a member of the Bard's Guild is to record these heroes and their adventures, exalting their brave deeds and smoothing over the not-so great. His duty is to the hero... no matter how he's treated, his profession and honour under the guild requires that he is loyal and chivalrous to the last. And in the case of an unlikely demise... well, Gabe just has to go and complete the quest in the hero's name, doesn't he?

Gabriel and all art belongs to me.
